Nestor Kisilevzky, M.D. is an Interventional RadiologNestor Kisilevzky, M.D. Interventional Radiologist - Brazil.ist (photo of Dr. Kisilevzky) from Brazil who started a clinical program on Uterine Artery Embolization (UAE) in 1999.  Practicing in Sao Paulo city, both at a public Hospital and at a private one, he soon developed the largest casuistry in South America of more than 400 cases as of December 2004.

Besides that, he ran several symposiums and training courses addressed to Gynecologists and Radiologists.  During such meetings Dr. Kisilevzky performed life case demonstrations. 

Robert Worthington-Kirsch, MD - Interventional Radiologist in Philadelphia, PA.The first International Symposium on UAE by Dr. Kisilevzky took place in 2001 when Dr. Robert Worthington-Kirsch from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, was the International Faculty.  (Dr. Kirsch's photo on left.)

The second one took place in 2003 and Dr. Jean Pierre Pelage from France was present.

The third one took place in 2005 and Dr. Paul Lolhe from The Nederland participated in it.

Dr. Kisilevzky has traveled around the country in order to promote the technique and to train people.  He visited several Brazilian towns like Porto Alegre, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Goiania, Salvador, Belem, Passo Fundo and Campinas where he gave many lectures and performed several UAE cases.

He also crossed the Brazilian borders to talk or perform case demonstrations in Argentina, Peru, Portugal, U.S.A., and India.

He’s been writing scientific papers and reports based on his experience and also published articles and newsletters addressed to the general public.  He constantly provides information to update an Internet web site called WebMioma (www.webmioma.com.br), the largest and most comprehensive web site approaching UAE in Portuguese language.  Dr. Kisilevzky can be reached at (e-mail address) drnestor@webmioma.com.br.
