This patient was operated on many years ago by where sonography
was not available in my city. She has history of 3 normal deliveries
in a village and as she had menorragia. She came to us.
Our preoperative diagnosis was fibroid. We diagnosed this only
when we opened her uterus. Photos: Both uterus are well
developed. Cut specimen are shown.
This
patient came to us with pain in her abdomen and bleeding. This
happened many years back when sonography was not available in my town.
We diagnosed it as missed abortion and attemped to terminate the
pregnancy after we dilated her cervix. To our luck we curtated the
normal unpregnant uterus. We diagnosed the extra horn pregnancy
after opening the abdomen. As she was multi para, we did hysterectomy.
Cut surface of uterus shows the small fetus. We called a photographer
and took its video of this operation.
This patient had under developed extra horn of Uterus. The
picture shows small extra horn opened up and it shows uterine cavity.
This was an accidental finding. It happened about 20 years back.
