John Rundback was previously Associate Professor at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, the Founder and Managing Partner of Advanced Interventional Radiology Services, LLP (AIRS), and the Clinical Director of Manhattan Interventional Radiology, LLP (MIR).

Dr Rundback has been the Director of the Interventional Institute at Holy Name Hospital located in Teaneck, New Jersey, since the fall of 2005.

He is a graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and interned at St Vincents Hospital and Medical Center. His radiology residency was done at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City, while his fellowship in Interventional Radiology was completed at Washington Hospital Center in Washington DC. Dr. Rundback was an active member of the Board of Directors for the Society of Interventional Radiology Foundation from 2000 to 2009 and was the Network Chair and Founder of the Cooperative Alliance for Interventional Research Clinical Trials Network.

He is currently principal investigator to numerous multi-center trials. Dr Rundback has authored over 100 academic peer-reviewed manuscripts as well as serving on the Editorial Boards for several scientific journals. His major research activities are in the area of Interventional Radiology with a particular interest in peripheral vascular disease, the treatment of uterine fibroids, and interventional oncology. He is a highly regarded faculty member at many national Interventional Radiology conferences and is also the program chairman for his own annual Vascular Medicine and Intervention meeting.
