Legislation Reform Needed Update:

Hope For Fibroids, Inc. web site is intended to give every woman and man a chance to research uterine fibroid disease and ask questions to Mike and Hope Waltman about their experience.  Dr. Robert Worthington-Kirsch and Dr. Francis Hutchins, Jr. are volunteer Medical Consultants for the web site and are available for questions as their time permits.

Dr. Robert Worthington-Kirsch, Dr. Paul Indman, Dr. Francis Hutchins, Jr., and Dr. William Parker (Medical Consultants) have contributed medical information to the web site.

We hope and pray to help open your eyes and mind to all the treatments that are available for uterine fibroids so that you can make the right decision for your fibroid treatment with the input from your doctor.

Remember, no one can know what is best for you unless they 'have walked a mile in your shoes'.  Make sure the journey in your shoes is the one you decided on and are happy enough to live with for the rest of your life.  If you said “YES, it is the right decision for me because I had a say in the decision,” then you made the right choice for your situation.

If your answer is "NO" don’t stop asking questions, keep researching, and get that second or third opinion.  You will find in the end that all the extra questions, research, and opinions will help you find the solution to your medical situation.

We wish you the best in your quest for each of us have experienced walking the same path by researching and making a decision on which uterine fibroid treatment to have performed.

Acknowledgement:  Mike and I want to thank all the volunteers who gave their time to this project.

Ms. Patricia Hoch was one of the people who inspired me to create this web site.  Because of Patty I learned of the Uterine Artery Embolization procedure and became actively involved in the pursuit to make this information available to women everywhere.

Ms. Marie Eckert has volunteered endless hours reading and proofreading my documentation as well as investigating new leads to  bring to the attention of women.

Ms. Theresa Henry was an inspiration to me by opening up her heart and expressing to me what women need and require to conquer this disease, which in turn helps me "open my eyes" to the needs of  this support group.

Ms. Margaret Thompson has volunteered to help the organization.

Acknowledgement:  Mike and I want to thank the organizations that gave us permission to create reciprocal links to their web sites.

Best Regards,
Mike and Hope Waltman
